I am 20 and about to become homeless on Jan 1st. I have no other options I have asked and tried. It is what it is.

@EasternMerchant there are animals that understand helping one another better than us! that only lifeforms capable of the atrocities we commit are animals that are of the scavenger & predator types. Are we up there with the Dophins, Elephants, and other warm-blooded mammals? Or, are we down there with the Crabs, Shrimps, Spiders, etc.?

I am saddened that many suffer this hardship, I just don't understand how we have such a large populace of people completely displaced, without home, without family, without love.... what is so wrong with this world? Why the "us vs them" mentality? for people to hate one another and push each other down to get to the greater advantage....that is downright barbaric!

Very insightful and some strong words of advice there. thank you for sharing.
I was homeless for a while in Fla. I think one of the biggest keys is to completly avoid alcohol and drugs, and avoid anyone who does these things. As you said, your mind must be ABSOLUTLY clear and focused in order to make it through. And watch the people around you.....many are schemers who will try to take advantage the second it looks like you are making some headway. Great vid and God bless

@playboymaxim You are exactly right. There really is no time to drink and do drugs no matter how tempting...stay sober because you never know WHAT may happen

@sweet8015 not necessarily. When I was homeless i hung out in libraries and coffee bars using the free internet... anybody who's trying to get off the street has to stay in communication with the world

Strong to get it done. When I went off to college, my dad rewarded me by saying I can not come back. I planned to live with my aunt, but my uncle died 6 days ago so she said she can not take me. My mom is in a shelter-style place herself and my grandfather is unable to take me bc of his wife disapproving. Now this is the last night I am sleeping in the dorm before I am forced to leave. I do not know where tomorrow will take me, but at least I know now what is most important. Thank you.
