I bought it in India from a guy named Bashir based in the small town of Miraj in Maharashtra. It was custom made to my specifications. It is not a standard sitar, but has a wooden tumba instead of a pumpkin gourd. it has a built in pickup and 7 machine heads instead of some of the friction pegs.
