When I was 14 (1957) I saw a movie "Tommy Steele Story". A friend thought TS was better than Elvis & would replace him. I didn't agree. I did become a fan but never heard his music again nor was TS ever on music charts. I eventually forgot about him. I've re-discovered TS thanks to your site. I like listening to the old R&R. However the "oldies" stations only play songs that made the top 20 or so - it gets old. I end up listening to my own collection. Now I have more to add to my collection.

And in the beginning there was Tommy Steele!!!!!!!!! This was the start of a new era which continues today! Before Tommy there was boredom sleepy music for boring people and teenagers were reborn! Hard to believe these days but "BT" (before Tommy) children were seen and not heard but "AT" yes you've worked it out!!! Come back Tommy!!!
