That is how jet engines works, from idle power they take a little while to accelerate.

7:03 The pilot brings the throttle forward. Nothing happens. About 5 seconds later, engines begin to roar. Not till then he brings the throttle more forward. Does the engines react so slowly? Why?

@guisantenuclear That is the stabilizer trim, is used to balance the aircraft during take-off.

It is the pitch trim wheel, on Airbus is not used since there is an auto trim system...
