well the story goes the mine has a v shaped opening and the entrence apeared closed off but you could just slip in the crack but thats just a story i read any how the mine was suposibly by jhonson canyon by the white cliffs 3 milles by deer creek but who knows i would like to go check the area iff i ever get the money and time. Im looking for lode gold to i havent went out after it just yet ive been studying a bout it.

Ha Ha. I live less than a mile from this mine. I've been in it. It's an old coal mine. There's about ten in a small area around there. They bulldozed most of them in cause kids like myself kept going in them. Interesting but not a lost Rhoades mine. I did my fair share of looking for those mines when I was younger. The coal mining ended in this area in the 1930's...
