Raw Video: 'Bloody' Protest for Bullfighting Ban

About 750 activists soaked in fake blood and with colorful banderilla stakes attached to their backs staged a protest Saturday demanding a ban to bullfighting in Mexico. The demonstrators are from animal-rights group AnimaNaturalis. (Feb. 6)

Bullfighting is the most indefensible type of animal abuse. It's not a “fight” at all, it’s a systematic “torture-killing” that pits a gang of armed thugs against a lone, terrified; "fatally" disabled and wounded animal.

It's a “sickening” economic industry based on HORRIFYING victimization; sadistic abuse; extreme cruelty and “mutilation and torture” of bulls (and horses) during the cruel exhibitions of “bullfights” (which are “blood” fiestas).

It’s no fun to see an innocent, crazed animal tortured before a screaming crowd of people, who should be hanging their heads in shame. Even if you leave after 15 to 20 minutes, the damage has been done – your money has gone to support this hellish business, which decent people are working to end.

The continuation of bullfighting depends on "government subsidies and the tourist industry."

Don’t be an accomplice to this savagery by supporting it with your dollars.

@tonychapin I am sure the bull would disagree. Cattle are shot in the head and drained of blood. A fast and virtually painless death. Bulls stabbed 45 times for "death by a thousand cuts" is slow and VERY PAINFUL. I love it when they get the SOB with a good horn though. Serves them right.

I am a hunter, I eat meet. I DESPISE BULL FIGHTING! It is beyond cruel. I believe that if you are going to kill an animal for food then you owe it to the animal to kill it quickly. No pain. BULL FIGHTING is atrocious!! Every bull fighter that has been gored had it coming to them.
