MK Wii Races (7/12/08)

I hope that you haven't been ignoring the links I place for other channels in my vids. Yeah, I know it sounds kinda needy, but still, I think YouTube can be a place for networking aside from being a place for vids. Anyway, the reason I bring this up is because I have another couple requests from YouTube members. Rinsting and piemanfun asked me to post their channels in order to get more friend codes for Mario Kart Wii (which honestly, I should be doing too since I only have two). As for my races, Toadette on the Magikruiser has been giving me a lot of good luck lately. Yeah, I know I'm good, but with the luck boost, I've been doing a lot better. My greatest opponent here was a 3-star rank by the name of Sacapuntes. How do I fare against such greatness?

1.) Rainbow Road
I generally don't like playing this track while I'm recording for a couple of reasons. There is a slight delay in my commands, so if I'm off too much, I could swerve right off the track. Secondly, the quality of my vid is put off severely because of the pixel rate. Anyway, since Sacapuntes was way ahead in this race, I was just concerned with keeping 2nd place.

2.) SNES Mario Circuit 3
Most of our competition left which placed me one-on-one with the three-star wonder. No gimmicks, no other players, just a true race here. How does it turn out? Don't read #3 until this race ends.

3.) SNES Mario Circuit 3
Since Sacapuntes couldn't believe he lost to me, he chose this track again while I chose random. This time he beats me, but I had some pretty crappy items to work with this time around. I mean, a storm cloud? Come on!

Nothing proves Star Ranks don't mean much like a win over a 3-Star. Luck or not, impressive stuff.

i'm rated three stars (i was up with my grandparents with no internet, and played till i got it) and i'd like to give you one tip.

on rainbow road in the figure 8 place, what i do is trick i bit off the first while lined up to boost of the end of the dash panel on the lip. once you get the angle right, which isn't difficult, you will be lined up to go str8 over the 2nd hole and lined up with the turn there perfectly. its faster, easier with a bit of practice, and will often lose a red shell

Interesting. Surprisingly, Storm Clouds are good for those well-needed sprints since you can go offroad without it hurting you while you have it.
