  • If I am replacing just the tensioner pads on an 02 night train, do I still need to replace the cam bearings? Thanks

  • @jamn83 Need to? No. Recommended? Yes. The bike obviously has some miles on it if you're changing the shoes so you might as well replace the bearings while you're in there. Part number J&P part # 431-579 (S&S Cycle Twin Cam Camshaft Installation Kit) comes with everything you'll need to replace them.

  • WHY does it stop @ 4:00 minutes?

  • @RRTRIP The video is 57 minutes long - if it was stopping at 4 minutes there must have been an error on Youtube's end. Just checked it and everything is working fine now.

  • THIS is how youtube works.I have questions, your video had almost an hour worth of answers, for FREE... guess where I'm going to go if/when I'm ready to try this myself? J&P and S&S, because they showed me how to do it, in superb detail. Awesome video.

  • @lilrara11804 Thank You! That is the exact reason we provide/produce videos like this and it is the same reason we have actual technicians on staff to answer tough/complex/unique questions through live chat or over the phone. We are here if you need us!

  • Excellent. Made it very easy to understand for the lay home-tuner. I was very skeptical that I would be able to do my own cams and adjustable pushrods, but after watching this and hearing the great advice, I feel confident that I would be able to do this also, with the proper tools. Thank you Justin and S&S.

  • Pretty sweet...nice job..great camera work too..very interesting

  • what performance increase well these cams make to the bike, just wondering because I wanted to change mine

  • Thanks Justin, S&S and J&P cycles for doing this video--You make it look easy but might just buy parts and let a mechanic do the install.

  • Excellent Video.. Thanks! I've saved ti for later. I have a brand new 2012 Electra Glide Classic.

Will be easing into making changes... Exhaust and Stage 1 for now. Lots of bolt-on changes to make it mine. I'll have this video playing beside me when I do the cams eventually.

    Keep up the good work!!

  • Very informative. Gives me the confidence to tackle mine. Thanks

  • clean the treads before applying loctite...

  • Vid's like this helped me build my motor when I upgraded from 88 to 95. I watched it a number of times. I've wrenched on stuff all my life and manuals are great but never give you the whole picture.

  • Excellent video. The cam change is to a higher performance cam.
