  • Hey. Can you send me your old video? The one before you discovered you could use the base to open the tooth brush up. My triangle is stripped. Probably something to do with the diagram on the brush plug showing the toothbrush being turned clockwise. For some reason, you turned your anticlockwise. I don't get it.

  • Hi there, I haven't got the old video but it's easy to make your own tool to open the toothbrush.

I made one using an M8 hex bolt head. Draw a triangle on the bolt head then use a bench or angle grinder to grind to the lines you have drawn. Then grind the 3 points of the triangle to make 3 round corners and a final grind to make it fit.

    All the best

  • Thanks for the guide, just finished mine and its now happily charging!

  • This sounds great right.......until it does not work, and you call Oral-B and they tell you beause you opened up the toothbrush it is no longer under the 2 YEAR WARRANTY!!!!!!!!, IF there is a warranty on it USE IT

  • First of all, thanks for this very helpful video! One thing to point out though, I bought my Triumph in Asia and although it looks the same on the outside, there is one important difference internally. My unit uses an "A" size battery which is the same diameter as the 4/5A but about 5mm longer. It also means that the capacity is higher at 2700mah. I bought the 4/5A before opening up my unit, so it still works, but less capacity than the original.

  • Great video - has saved me buying a new toothbrush, so many thanks!

  • Thanks very much for taking the time and effort to share this. Seems easy to do mistakes while disassembling the toothbrush that would ruin it.
