This strange storm, recently classified as a supercell by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, was the same cell that spawned a tornado during a football match at Pt Noarlunga. What's very odd about this storm, isn't just the fact that it was a supercell, which while not uncommon for South Australia, are still infrequent, it's the fact that it occurred in the middle of July, the very middle of winter for Australia. Shortly after this video, I captured the funnel forming as it approached the coast, this can be seen here http://media.photobucket.com/image/adelaide%20tornado/cmhandler/101_1794.jpg

@rcaddict72 Yep, it struck at 5:30pm, damaging some sixty buildings, and at this stage looks to have been an EF2 with winds around 180km/h, with a damage track 3km long, and 50m wide.
