What do you do when for the first time in 400 years, the full moon is eclipsed into darkness during the longest night of the year? According to Wiccan and pagan beliefs the solstice was a time that is symbolically associated with the rebirth of the sun - light coming out of the darkness - so what better way to honour that energy than by dancing with fire? I might even be the first person to fire fan dance during a lunar solstice eclipse. This vid was recorded in northern Alberta, Canada at about 1 am MST during the complete darkness of the full lunar eclipse on the winter solstice, Dec. 21, 2010. Even though this was recorded on an iPhone, you can briefly see the very tiny, very faint red moon at the beginning and end of the vid. The temp was -21 degrees C (-6 degrees F)

@hemlocktreeproducton Thanks very much! I've only been using the fans since August so still have lots to learn, but this was a really special experience for me and it's cool to be able to share it.
