http://www.FTV.com/videos PARIS - "The idea was like a tv reality fashion show," says designer Jean Paul Gaultier to describe his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. He wanted the audience to see the backstage and the things they don't typically see like racks of clothes and girls changing. Then they were going through, Gaultier describes, not a big runway. It was more human, he said. Models like Karlie Kloss held numbers and interacted with the audience as someone over the microphone described the girls and what they were wearing. Top model Frida Gustavsson tells us why she loves a Gaultier show. "You don't really know what's going to happen and there's always something going on," she says. "It was really quintessential Jean Paul Gaultier," said Bergdorf Goodman's Linda Fargo, "But really wearable." Gaultier also describes his tattoo-like couture. He also showcased pleats and trench coats. "Everything he creates is amazing," says model Joan Smalls.
