@Gogies777 tama ka pre. dapat i mandatory na yan. ang saya kaya ng experience sa ROTC kysa sa NSTP. natapos ko na ang NSTP pero kumuha parin ako ng ROTC naiingit kasi ako pag mag formation na sila.. hehe! yan mga APC natin na niluma na ng panahon ok pa yan pre total wala naman tanke at eroplano ang mga rebelde. pero kailangan na din natin mag modernize para din sa outside threat specially sa Navy naten at Airforce

@energizer1117 remember that spratly could go up to 50B dollar yearly territory so a quick all out invasion of philippine territorial claimed islands in teh spratly is a high reward low risk mission in teh favor of teh chinese government,thats if the US and UN will not intervene or worst if they can force china to leave spratly's alone after(God forbid) it invade tehse islands.radar sams and well equipped navy vessels is our best bet.i hope magkaisa din ang pilipinas sa layunin at di kalat kalat

@otencyano i agree main battle tanks should be teh least of our worries but it shouldne be out of the equation as well.we can upgrade these simbas later on with apc llike lav 3s if it can prove to handle our rugged terrains.most importantly UAVS which we can invest on to develop with IR/NVs with good laser guided missiles for surgical missions.in that way we dont have to risk as much as what the afps are doing now with our personnels.i will say UAVS will be significantly beneficial for afp!

@Mrmozilafirefoxable unfortunately may outside trheat an din tayo ngayon so i will not expect to get a military modernization based solely on internal conflict usages.we should get uav drones for the rebels and some attack choppers..good vessels,radar and SAMS for protecting oru sovereignity.multi role fighters are very expensive and unless you will get the best out there(4+++ and 5th generation fighters) you will not stand a chance against invaders(although it will be helpful at some point.

@raymundlaforteza haha may puntos ka pre..baka sa isang antigong simba tank natin ay makapalit ng isang merkava or leopard 2a6 at decommossioned f5s baka bili tayo ng isang squadron ng f 18s..magandang stratehiya yan bata haha!

kung panahon ng vietnam wars pede pa tong mga ito.since mga muslim separatists lang naman at mga communists ang nanghugulo sa government natin ay pwedeng pwede to.pero honetly our military cannot defend our nation succesfully if ever a nation like china or malaysia will try to invade us..they are armed to the teeth ang mga kalalakihan pa natin panay lang ang inom at naglalakihan ang tyan,mga pa cute na panay polbos ang mukha para pumuti at mag feeling tisoy para sa mga girls.we need rotc back!
