Yes,I live in Norwich and have watched the puppet man many times.
Another commenter asked about Marigold(who used to dorect traffic at main crossroads throughout the City,wearing his marigold gloves!)The last I heard about him was that he was living in retirement in some home somewhere.I think his name may have been Julian??????

Love him- back in the Old Country in couple of weeks (currently in Texas) I hope puppet man is still there outside Primark (nee Littlewoods). I miss old Marigold. I'm pretty sure there was chap who used to direct the traffic in Yarmouth too- he used to wear all his war medals whilst doing it...
