Err. News reports of US Airways flight 1549 on Saturday 01/11/09 tell of eyewitness explosions. These were from people on the plane as well as off the plane. Yet to sane people, it was simply a flock of birds that cause the problem.

In this video clip below, a construction worker remembers hearing/and feeling an explosion around 8:30, but the first plane struck around 8:46. Here's the even weirder part. He was in the sub-basement levels far below ground. Ok, let's say his time is a little off, what could've caused these explosions 800-1000 or more ft below where the plane struck. And, it was either before or exactly when the plane impacted? Is there enough time for a chain reaction? I'm all ears?
