@PsychedelikBreakfest I couldn't agree more. nevertheless, the following ones got really interesting results (red, lark's tongues in aspic, islands, the power to believe, etc)

If only the origional King Crimson would come back, even if it was for just one gig, to see greg lake sing these songs again would be awesome!

This is an amazing find. I wish you could more easily find stuff like this on DVD. Amazon has been pretty much a waste of time for trying to find decent King Crimson stuff.

@TheIllegalKind I've got no idea. What do other people think?
There seems to me to be plenty of people out there, for whom King Crimson in the post 1975 period were very important and magical. So just everyone has different taste, and different times that were important to them, I guess! :) Everyone's different!

@muzboz do a lot of people feel the same way

@TheIllegalKind Thela Hun Gingeet is kinda cool, yeah. Interesting. Some nice guitar textures in the middle there. Reminds me a bit of Duran Duran in a cool way. :)
I think something strange happened to recording technology and the way people produced records in the later 70's, and into the 80's. It got really clean, and polished, and I think something got lost in the process. :) I like the rawness and roughness of the stuff recorded in the 60's and early 70's.
Cool song, though!

@muzboz what about songs like thela hun gingeet

@TheIllegalKind I just watched a video entitled "Bruford & Levin (King Crimson)", and yes, they are very talented. But I think the excesses of the 80's has basically taken hold of these guys. I can see why some people would like it, but I find it hollow, more of an exercise in technique than it is an emotional tale, or a story. Cool stuff, but I prefer the old King Crimson who made songs with words written by a poet, and the music had classical aspirations. Levin is very talented though! :)
