  • Does anyone know the source of this video?

  • VERY well played though! i have heard a few murderous renditions of this, yours is excellent

  • it nowhere stands close to the chopin b minor sonata

  • ...And I thought, I was fast :))

  • ...yeah, the problem is that you have to take the approach that Mr. Dominique Strauss-Kahn took in "making advances" toward that maid in New York (well, acc. to HER account, which I always thought had terrific esthetic possibilities),and, of course, Mr. Hamelin, having no other choice I guess, does exactly that...

  • Shut up Hamelin and let us hear Hamelin plays!

  • excellent

  • 5 people are evil :(

  • Chuck Norris wears Marc-André Hamelin pyjamas.

  • Alkan finally got monsieur Hamelin and bruised his impeneteretable technique with one of his highest-order études (which is a praise for both). And even the radio concerto live recording questions the possibility of maintaining the indicated tempo without re-recording.

In a week I am going to perform this Finale at a competition and recollect MAH's great technique... And slow down before the 'brilliant' part. And still I swear I'll fail!
