In May of 2009, Kash Shaikh (External Relations Leader for the Tide brand) and DeVries PR led a partnership with Ellen DeGeneres to support the Tide Loads of Hope program. Ellen, a native of New Orleans (site of Katrina and birthplace of the Loads of Hope program) and world-reknowned philanthropist, visited the Loads of Hope truck in New Orleans, LA.
