  • @flamieuk If a supermarket forced a load of food, that I wasn't interested in eating, in my shopping bags, then threatened to steal money of me if I didn't pay for it, I refuse to pay for that too!

  • You are free to be proud of any corporation you like @AdamDLDixon but don't say everyone else should be too.

  • Definition of "Use" indeed says using it to receive TV broadcasts. I wasn't arguing that point, I was saying it says "installed" and doesn't define it - "installed" to me means present and fit to use?

  • @CoyoteBoyUK read section 368(3) of the Communications Act 2003: “References in this Part to using a television receiver are references to using it for receiving television programmes.”

  • @glogmulch34 Your definition of "installed" doesn't appear to be that given in the legislation. Your definition seems to be a hopeful way of pretending the law has a loophole?

  • @CoyoteBoyUK The definition of "installed" and "used" here is "so as to receive broadcast television programs". If it's used only for the purposes of watching DVDs or to provide something for your cat to sit on, it's not being "used" under this act.

  • @glogmulch34 For full details check out

    legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2003/21/section/363

I'm no lawyer but it looks pretty conclusive to me.

  • @glogmulch34 The exact word of law:

"(1)A television receiver must not be installed *or* used unless the installation and use of the receiver is authorised by a licence under this Part. .

(2)A person who installs or uses a television receiver in contravention of subsection (1) is guilty of an offence. .

(3)A person with a television receiver in his possession or under his control who— .

(a)intends to install *or* use it in contravention of subsection (1), or .

    is guilty of an offence.

    "HTH

  • @CoyoteBoyUK Not quite true. The equipment must be installed or used for receiving broadcast television programmes. Simple possession does not require a licence, neither does installation for other purposes, for example a TV and DVD player installed only for the purpose of watching DVDs.

  • his id photo was a smiley aswell, lol.

  • AAAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA............HAAAAAAAAAAAA HA HA HA HA HA.. That was the best vidio I've watched about this crap. I love the way you edited this one man. I cant stop laughing. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHHAH
