While touring Punjab to interview farmers, I had the chance to stop off at Bahawalpur Zoo. It turned out to be the highlight of my trip with wide open alligator pens, a lion tamer who was risking his life to entertain the visitors, and some really funny monkeys running around. The zoo turned out to be quite nice but I was surprised at seeing the deplorable state of the lions which, in my opinion, should be the best looked after.

These lions dont even know what to do and still they get hit with a stick..
If you think that is allright, then you are a sick person
Poor lions dont know what he's telling them and get hit just because they cant talk Indian..
