The Fat Cats Lament is a light-hearted parody about a (perhaps not so mythical) high powered bank executive who acted entirely in his self interest and then paid the penalty of his folly for contributing to the recent recession. Other bankers who acted the same way escaped with their loot (exhorbitant pensions etc).
Gordon Bilsborough, who was 80 in 2009, was an Independent Member of the Council of the Isles of Scilly until June 2010,who writes political satire and performs his own protest songs at the local folk club.
