1) Buy a better washing machine
2) Mount a door
3) Leave your home while the machine is spinning.

Yeh thats really not that noisy. And I am sure you'd rather have mucky clothes than miss watching 5 minutes of a TV program you can watch again on +1 or even record on Top Up, vision or sky+, but whatever - your life. I for one am willing to make the small sacrifice of having a bit of background noise so that I don't look or smell like a tramp.
