Another World's Lester dies.

From the Sega-CD game "Heart of the Alien" or "Another/Out of this World 2"
A game that should not have come to light. The original Another World had so much love and effort put into it considering it was made by one man, not counting two pieces of music, so it's understandable that gamers who appreciate DECENT games immediately had their boners killed by this game. This is what happens when the bigwigs of a gaming company take charge and ruin everything (see any other good game that had awful sequels).
Eric Chahi has called this game a flop, something to regret and to be fair I don't blame anybody who thinks that. Though visually brilliant, It would have been nice if Chahi had been in control the whole time.
Since this is Interplay's game rather than one of Eric Chahi's works of art, I think it's safe to say that we can go back to the (commonly used quote found by wikipedia) "ambiguity" of the first game and ignore this.
Special thanks to Eric Chahi, who is currently looking for a new way to bring games to life for us.

Somehow this is considered as non canon to the original storyline, after all Eric Chahi refuse to acknowledge this piece of crap. Hope Eric will make a proper sequel where Lester doesnt die like a Red shirt.

The Mega Drive version in comparison to SNES* (*had lower res. in general than the M.D. console) is better (graphic quite equal to Amiga org.), but lacks because of not having the good SNES soundtrack in game of course. 3DO version is a bit too colorful for the atmosphere in Another World, so I don't like it very well. -And in finally this viewed PC remake the hills appering in some background graphics are to 'rounded' / smoothened (does not fit to atmosphere), but aside this it's ok I guess ;).

killing off the original character in prequel then sub character lives in glory lol no defeats whole point of first game, was gona buy these two games and a mega drive to put away for future collectors, was fascinated by by original when i was a kid couldnt beleive it was a megadrive game i was playing, now i think FUCK THAT, wot a load of shit

No, he die five times actually: First in the end of Another World, second time when he arrives the alien town, third time when he is put in the floor, fourth when he is leaved alone in some house, and finally five times when he is incinerated (it is the last one time he die definitively). LOL
