Have you noticed how looks seem to matter more to beginners than actual practicality? Any beginner wants a flame sword. But then again I would not wish a Katana tanto set on any beginner. I want that set first. ;^)

I was wondering what kind of material it was made from. It looks like it might be layered blue foam, but I wouldn't mind some details. I've been making some basic swords and maces/mauls from blue foam and I'm always looking for some more tips to make things better.
