I tried to update the bios for my hp DV5-1095eo. In the end computer went dead. Thanks that I found a thread and followed the instructions and with some struggle to find the relevant bios, was able to get my laptop back to life. Try to use the initial versions of the bios.

Working 100% Affter I reinstalled stock Win Wista to Windows 7 HP pavilion dv5-1040en wont boot from HDD or CD/DVD. I thinked I broked motherboard while cleaning it, but no you saved me :) Thank you! used lates bios version F.21 A (4 Sep 2009)
