Aung San Suu Kyi is awesome such a strong woman
a freedom fighter she deserves winning the nobel prize in 1991
She will set Myanmar free!!!
Aung San Suu Kyi the real president of Birma!!! We love her greetings from Germany

@HONGKONGHIBBY No blood rubies, either! Bring pressure to bear on China for propping up the illicit government and economy of the so-called nation of Myanmar!
-
@warriorjun: What does that matter? She is a bright and faithful, gentle revolutionary who believes in a better future for her fellow countrymen! You don't win the Nobel Peace Prize for being a cookie cutter media darling.
-
@verry54: Perhaps it is because she is a woman. Many men think that a courageous woman who dares forget her place and runs into trouble has gotten what she deserves. How very pitiful are the ignorant ones who think this way.
Thank you, Jean Luc, for keeping your mind open. I hope you become a trendsetter.

Do not buy Burmese rubies, for they truly are "blood rubies."

Why should she have stayed in England? Should she just look on while her country of birth has been brutalised for decades? I am glad and thankful that she has the courage to fight and sacrificed her personal freedom and life for the future greater good of her country and its people.

All free people of the world and friends of Burma must also join together to censure and boycott the many nations who are helping to prop up the Military Dictatorship, economic and otherwise, to stay in power.
Their supporters include but not limited to China (largest supplier of arms and biggest trading partner to Burma), Japan and India (in exchange for fishing and logging rights, off-shore oil and gas drilling, hydro-electric power supplies) and North Korea (nuclear capability support).

No more talks or engagements with this Military Dictatorship until the immediate and unconditional release of Suu Kyi. The international community must help bring down this odious regime (and their friends and cronies) who have benefitted from their ruthless suppression of their own people. Almost 50 years of inhumane brutality is enough ...no more blood-shed, not more death of innocent people. ENOUGH!! Rise up and support for an armed resistance now.
No HATE here please!!!
