The Bible -- a Waste of Time?

Recently, a viewer wrote us about the Bible: "That Jew book has caused enough trouble in the world... You live in a... delusion, get... religion out of a secular world." But is it fair to hold the Bible responsible for the pain and suffering brought about by people who claimed to believe in the Bible, but did not follow its injunctions? Rightly understood, you need the Bible to know why you exist, why there is evil in the world, how to live in peace and happiness, and what your future holds. Evolution can't tell you. Only God does.

Sadly since other canadians have watched this video I will state that evolution does pose answers to why we act the way we do, the propensity for our genes Ie. apes have shown that our fervent need to dispel that which challenges us or can be taken advantage of will be. To the religious they only believe what they want and reject what they do not like even that of other believers their are over 30000 christian faiths and around a hundred new ones every year that can't be all right.

The bible is a waste of time.

If everyone ONLY read the bible and ONLY followed its teaching, thinking of nothing else but the bible, you would NEVER be using that very nice computer/laptop you are using RIGHT NOW. If you still think the bible is not a waste of time, then stop using the computer or any other invention made by NOT wasting their entire life obsessing over a book written by man 2000 years ago.

The Old Testament is Jew propaganda, it is a story of Jew genocide against all their neighbors. The New Testament is a good story, though, about a moral revolt against the evil Jews!!!!

Today, in man's world, you can find Bibles in the "dollar stores". When Jesus Christ returns and God's Government is set up, everyone will have a Bible and learn from it. It will not be in a cheap "dollar store" for $1! It will be the most sought out and valuable book of all books. Then EVERYONE will know the Truth, the Bible is NOT a waste of time!

The constitution of the United States was written and sighned by men who read the bible. The orginal laws of the U.S.A. were mostly based on the laws of the bible.

What a blessing it is to have the Bible and to be given understanding. Many don't understand that a key to understanding the Bible is obedience to God. The Bible is for everyone, not just for Jews.

Why is it that, when we read an ordinary book or a news paper, that we believe it pretty much right away what we read? Why is it so hard to believe the Bible that has been written so long ago and that is giving us an escape and direction how to live day by day? Don't we look around us and ask where this is all coming from? God said that He has created it and that He created man. Why can't we believe it? Is there another book which says how it all started?
