Of the several prescribed Ziyarat of Imam al-Husain (PBUH), one was recited by Imam al-Mahdi (PBUH) and reached us through one of his four special deputies. For that reason, it is known as the Ziyarat that was issued from the sacred side (Ziyarat al-Nahiya al-Muqaddasa). One of the most important features of this Ziyarat is that in different phrases, Imam al-Mahdi (PBUH) graphically describes the events of Ashura and the agony that Imam al-Husain (PBUH) and his family faced on that horrific and ominous day.

  • jazakallah,

i hope that allah pardon our gunnah, and clean our hearts with NOOR, inshallah

  • Alaykum Salaam.

What Br. Rajabali says a 100% correct. When it is said that the Prophets do not commit errors, it is referring to the fact that they never transgress the boundaries ordained by Allah and commit a 'forbidden' act, or a 'sin'.

As for the lapse of judgement, it is not an 'error' as such because Allah was not disobeyed and so it does not negate their infallibility in any form.

    Allah knows best.

    In need of your Duas.

  • Salaam,

It would be hard to believe that Prophet David (as) had made an "error of judgement" because according to Hassanain Rajabali's lectures, the Prophets (as) were perfect and free from committing errors.

Sure, him choosing the lesser act is fine, but wouldn't it still have been a mistake considering if a is better than b and he took b.

  • salam

The Tark al-awla that he commited was the story in the quran that when the two person who in reality where angels from God to test prophet David came to him in the night when as I remember was praying and asked him to judge between them. And when he had the first person's complain he passed judgement and forgot to also listen to the other guys story. The story is in Hayat al-Qulub by Muhammad Baqir Majlisi.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU, JAZAKALLAH BRO, i love you and i will always remember you in my prayers, I am literally teared up :(:(

  • ما شاء الله رائع

    شكرا لكم

  • Thank you so much for this beautiful vid

  • I have not come across any details of this mistake of Prophet Dawud (as) in Shi'a sources however I have found a lecture on this based on Sunni sources:

    watch?v=osjQtv7XQS4

    Hope that helps.

Please remember me in your Duas.

  • For example, imagine yourself in a circumstance in which you have 2 permissible (Halal) options, option A and option B, after a while you choose option B though option A is better for you. This would be classified as a mistake, as the benefit in option A outweighs that in option B.

It is important to remember that although certain Prophets may not have acted in the most preferable and correct manner in certain circumstances, they are still infallible as they have not sinned as such.

  • Alaykum Salaam.

When it is said that certain Prophets made a mistake it is not meant that they committed forbidden (Haram) acts in disobedience to the laws of God, but rather they committed something known as 'Tarke-Aula', which means to ignore or be heedless of a better or more preferred act in a situation by taking a lesser yet permissible (Halal) one, a sort of 'error of judgement'.
