Pride of America, off Kauai, 18 June 2010 - Pool nightmare

This shows every reason to RUN from a cruise ship that allows families to run wild. Kids were out of control, selfish parents didn't care, and at this point, there was plenty of 'wave action from the ocean, that transferred to the pool. Looking for romance and relaxation? This is not the place!!! Lock yourself in your suite, make martinis, sit in your own hot tub and all will be well.

We had even worse experience on the Dawn in 9 day cruise in March. We thought we'd be safe from these rude parents who do not take responsibility for their children, but alas - I guess parents just jerk their brats out of school for no reason, just so they can force them on others.

We're not doing another cruise on these ships. It's ridiculous to pay for an Owners Suite and then be tortured by rude people and their rude children, 24/7. It's not that we have anything against families. We have problems with rude, loud people who allow their children to run wild, thinking everyone thinks their brats are cute. Well, they're not and we're done. We just canceled our upcoming 14 day cruise with NCL. From now on, after 20 years of cruising? Adult only resorts or cruises. We spend far, far more than these families of 15 will spend, but NCL doesn't seem to care. It's all about the quantity, not the quality.
