2003 Yamaha YZF-R6, Turbocharged, TD04L-13T turbocharger from a stock 2004 subaru WRX, custom intake manifold, custom turbo manifold, custom oil supply and sump system, power commander III, oem injectors, autometer boost gauge, custom boost controller, custom intake plumbing, custom custom custom!

ordering a suction mount to make a nice tank-mount video of it running. Was dyno tuned last year before the oil system was re-worked, made 135 WHP. 9psi.

Last year best run was 11.52@135mph. (yes, the time sucks, you try keeping this thing down without an extension or lowering kit, or both.)

More to come later :)

Also, don't ask me for tips or how-to's. I woln't respond, If this video is not clear enough indication of what I have done here for you, you probably shouldn't be attempting this in the first place.

  • are you still alive? your bike can kill you! you know?..

  • @TonySprocket Still breathing, I just posted a video yesterday with my new aac tirant .45 suppressor...

  • Bro you're a mad genius! how did you learn to piece it all together?

  • @davidcaun Basics are pretty simple. Just gotta make everything fit.

The other stuff like the oil system was mostly trial and error. Still tweaking and switching stuff around to improve the streetability.

  • Forgot to ask, what internal work have ya done? Rods, pistons etc???

  • @BoostedisbetteR None. If/when it blows up it'll get a compression drop and some forged internals. and a longer swingarm, I'll turn it into a drag bike at that point. Or sell it motorless and get something new. I'll figure it out when the time comes. Those S1000RR's are pretty nasty.

  • @350z89 Where's the fun in that? :)

Besides, what sounds cooler, a Turbocharged bike or just some old R1?

also; I had the turbo from my old car, so it didn't cost me much in parts.

  • LOVE! The color! Jonesing for a bike will bad.

  • Does this bike still run? I am in the process of doing this to a r1

  • Not a fan of the colour, but thats niice, very clean looking.

  • Hey I have a r6 I wanna know if u can help me with info on how to turbo mine.thanks if u can help

  • Hey I finally put the turbo kit on my R1. It took a bit of fiddling around but it's an extremely tight kit with no cutting to the fairing and everything sits inside the fairing. It's got 38mm wastegate & 50mm blowoff valve. Twin oil coolers are fitted to the undertail dumping oil over the clutch fibers. I'll post more vids in a few weeks when I get home & let ya know the HP on 7.5psi gor street use.

  • what does the bike top out at? and what does it dyno now?

  • Researching how I can integrate a turbo off a car on my 2004 R6 and trying to figure out exactly what all I need as far as materials?
