  • Love this documentary because of the person who it is about, but I think thats the mansion should have restored the original colors the ways SHE had them.

  • @Amocee Why don't you READ for a change. It was a black MAN who created the first relaxer (Which straightens hair) and this was WAAAY before MCW came along. On top of that, black men were straightening their hair right along with black women until the 70's. But, why is it that now-a-days black men are ashamed to let their natural naps grow out even in inch? You would rather your head be shaved damn there bald then let your natural kinks grow out. Tell the fucking truth!!!

  • @Amocee ONCE AGAIN. Your ass is WRONG!!! It was a black MAN by the name of Garrett Augustus Morgan who implanted the idea that straight hair is right in your black woman's head by creating the damn relaxer. So, stop blaming black women because it was not our self hate----it was your fellow brother's who started this shit. I am tired of this false information being spreaded. Even before Garrett Morgan came along, black men were doing all types of shit to straighten black hair.

  • What a woman hey!! Today black women act bad. They can take a lesson from miss walker. She was wonderful

  • All these devils care about is money .

  • She's one of my greatest heroes and inspirations.

  • Just Beautiful!!!!!

  • @BigEd37 Yep...for sure...it opened my eyes...

  • @Amocee I saw that documentary. That was a very interesting documentary.

  • @Amocee You are righ some black women are insecure about being black, but some black women bleach their hair for style, some do try to fit in and some black women just straigten their hair because it is easy to manage. And back in those days if you were black and you were not mixed your hair was really course. And course hair is hard to manage. So what I am trying to say all black women don't fix their hair for the purpose of looking white. But I will check out that documentary.
