Playing the Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars DEMO - Recorded using Fraps Full Version.

If you've played the Supreme Commander game you're probably painfully aware of how much performance it eats without looking anything all too finished after all - but that's not the situation with Tiberium Wars. The graphics ain't the most beatiful around but offers some excellent looking explosions, physics to some points and just gives a whole new, deeper and better looking C&C experience than ever before.

And it ain't eating that much cream to run smmothly either, when I started it up and checked the settings it automaticly setted things up High for me (Ultra is highest settings) but I still putted the Geo' to Medium to give a few extra frames during those most intensive fights or when viewing your larger base.

A neat feature with this game is that it runs with a 30FPS as standard, just like Halo for the PC/Xbox - which makes the game smooth whatever happends, so no more unstabile, jumpy game speed as with Command & Conquer: Generals - and the framerate lock is perfect, the game runs smooth and looks great even on the less expensive rigs.

Playing High Video Settings and High Sound quality with perfect 30FPS, with a slightly lower framerate during really big fights or while vieweing a really stretched out base with following specs:
450W Greenerger PSU, with ASM technology
1GB DDR400 PC3200
Socket 939, nForce 4-motherboard running a AMD Athlon 64 3700+ ~2,3ghz processor
Gigabyte nVidia GeForce 7600GT, 256mb, PCI-E.
SoundBlaster X-fi Xtreme Gamer
1 x 250GB 7200rpm 1 x 200GB 7200rpm
- Reaching 3109pts in 3Dmark06

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is easily recommended if you're running a machine equal to mine or better if you want to kick back some classic C&C-style gameplay in a beatiful visual package, this is the game for you.

  • with my 9800 gtx its locked at 30fps no matter what is on the screen

  • The application is capped on 30FPS.

  • looks good would be cool if they made another FPS tho but this looks fun still

  • They're making the FPS "Tiberium" (Creative.) but it seems to be a horrible EA-production as ever. They should have gone with a new Renegade game rather than that crap.
