My final Design for Graduation Project. The strong axis from the initial axial conception forms a wave-like volume that hovers over the Milsons Point viaduct. Each entity in the building works seperately but they form a complete station building altogether. The footbridge tube and the cafe-viewing point floor plate are suspended off the main truss structure. While the Railway's Roof sits on top of the viaduct. The railway's roof is imagined to be build of flickering panels that will animate forms and patterns of waves and waters when wind blows upon it, particularly when trains arrive and depart from the station, creating swirls of wind that animate the roofscape. The ground floor serves as a new thoroughfare between Milsons Point and Kiribilli, it houses a bicycle storage and service kiosk, a row of retail - cafe units, the main station concourse and an unpaid concourse. It is aspired that the station will become a catalyst for people's activity and a busy plaza in the future. The cafe on the top level will be filled with people on the road, they will get a drink and a quick snack at the cafe and continue on with their journey via or from the train service. Additionally the viewing platform hovering over the highway will be a main attraction for tourists and visitors for breath-taking views and even better as a stunner on New Year's Eve where everyone wants to get a good view of the fireworks!
