Man made god - with Andy Thomson - Part 1

History shows that man has made many gods and godesses.

God making appears to be part of the human psyche.

And man has been prolific in exercising this trait. All recorded civilisations appear to have created a god or gods.

In this series of videos I seek to find out why this is.

I am grateful to Andy Thomson for giving me the opportunity of discussing this issue (and his book).

J. Anderson Thomson, Jr., MD, is a Trustee of the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science and a staff psychiatrist for Counseling and Psychological Services at the University of Virginia Student Health Center, as well as the University of Virginia's Institute for Law, Psychiatry and Public Policy. Thomson also has his own private practice, and is a forensic psychiatrist for Region Ten Community Services.

I read 3/4ths of the Gospel asking for Jesus to give me the HOLY SPIRIT when HE came though, since then I have read the bible many times & plan to read it daily because I found the truth, its not about knowledge, its about reading to RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD so that I can know Him. @JamesThWilliams I said we are all evil until Jesus makes us clean inside. That 'evil' part you have can be removed if you want it from Christ, reading His word, asking for the Holy Spirit. The soul is pure, the spirit is not, that's why we are 50/50 good/evil. That is why we must be reborn from SPIRIT in order to enter heaven, this has to happen here through Christ, until then, confusion reigns in all. Do you not live in confusion aka Babylon? Babel is confusion.

@JamesThWilliams As you read it asking alone in your room as it said to, did you also NOT LOVE THE WORLD or anything in it for the time you read, following Jesus as HE cut the world off a short while? No, you didn't, did you think that you can do what you want read & judge the word of God without judging your own sinful nature as guilty? You are deluded, sinful & read with wrong motives, not even thinking yourself as evil, that's how lost you were & still are friend.
