Let's see what happens when we melt the glass on a fluorescent tube. Yup, it's going to suck in the glass! Unfortunately, I overheated a cold part of the glass and it cracked and imploded. Live and learn :)

  • @AAVista I did that to one and it was reduced to a puddle of glass!

  • Imagine if a fluorescent bulb like this one overheated this much during its EOL instead of the blowtorch. If the bulb kept on flickering and flashing after the glass was already cracked, my conclusion at one time was:

    KAH-BLOOEY!!!

    An affected office room would look like a war zone!
