Ths is interesting. In an article called, Protein Content of Latex Gloves in Hospitals;G Ital Med Lav Ergon. 2002 Oct-Dec;24(4):441-3, the authors mentioned this: "A significant amount of latex proteins was found in some brands of nitrile brands." Given the main allergen of latex is hev B 6.o2, guess what-that amino acid sequence is 100% homologous to one in O. sativa-rice. Highest prevalence of condom usage is in Japan. Read between the lines.

Excellent video. I am not allergic, but since I have Spina Bifida, I have latex precautions. Most people don't even know what latex is, more people need to know.

Thank you for posting this. I am allergic and it really sucks since other people do not understand.

Nice way to get the word around about latex allergies!

I have allergies to latex that effect my eyes severely. I stay so far away from it, it's not funny!
I think I have this, but I'm not 100% sure. To test my self, should I like wear a latex glove and see if anything happens, or is there a better way?

You need to see a doctor. Testing yourself can be very dangerous. If you have a severe reaction it could kill you without proper medical treatment in time. Early detection can help to minimze worse long-term health problems. Please see a doctor to confirm this.

Excellent information in these two movies. One slight glitch: natural rubber now comes mainly from Thailand and Indonesia rather than Malaysia, but this minor inaccuracy does not affect the excellent information and advice contained in this video.

In 1997, Malaysia was the major supplier for 150 years. Since then the plantation owners have been moving to other Southeast Asian countries due to "labor disputes".
There have been other changes since 1997, but this is still a great awareness video. Thank you very much for your comment.
