  • @gothyke Actually it does, even though i don't agree with the silly cow. Studies have shown that protein raises levels of alertness, carbs lower alertness levels and make you tired.

  • I mix casein protein with my cottage cheese before bed and get a great nights sleep along with great muscle gains and no fat gain. Carbs before bed would impair the body's ability to produce human growth hormone which would not be good for my muscle gains or any kind of repair of the body at all. Protein does not make you feel alert, Carbs do. Eat carbs for energy and alertness throughout the day and definitely avoid at night. This video is pretty much the opposite of the truth.
