Meant to be a true sequel to Wolfenstein 3D, ROTT, made by Apogee Software, eventually evolved into a completely different game, one with funny elements, and also introduced us to the 'Ludicrous Gibs!'.

One final chance to use Dog mode in this episode, and way more ludicrous gibs to be done, plus watching all the guards at the start of E1A5 get torn to bits by the moving blades XD

And in case you didn't know, I did not attempt to go for the Three extra lives in E1A5, because of how ludicrously difficult it is to even get the lives.

  • This game started out as id's Wolfenstein 3D Part 2 by Apogee's first in-house development team, but id was coming out with Doom and got disinterested in it. So it was completed by Apogee and the name changed to ROTT. It was a fun project to have worked on. :)

  • one of the best fps games ever made.

  • @halidefox So when you get nausea, you watch this?

  • I loved the green guys when you didn't quite kill them... they dropped to their knees and begged you not to kill them. Then sometimes they'd come back to life and start shooting at you again. :D

  • I liked how you could crush people when you stand on top of them. Always laughed at that!

  • The good ol' days of DOS

  • First off, quake came out a bunch later, and ran like shit on the machines that were out. Second, Duke was state of the art *until* quake topped only the graphical bar

  • With quake being around at almost the same time? Doubt that.

  • Duke was state of the art at the time

  • Dog mode! Awesome.

  • This music from E1A5 is best music of ROTT 4ever!

  • oh i miss the days when games didnt have to be so graphically intensive and could actually be fun for a change...
