At the Jepson Leadership Forum economist Dambisa Moyo, named one of Time magazine's most influential people in the world for 2009, discusses her book Dead Aid: Why Aid is Not Working and How There is a Better Way for Africa. In it she unflinchingly confronts what she sees as one of the greatest myths of our time and argues that foreign aid to Africa be phased out and replaced with innovative ways to finance development and encourage fair trade. @bongo46 Well it depends by the looks the investment of the Chinese with Africa has been since African independence. If you look up David Shinn and Deborah Britigham they are analyst of this very relationship.

@blueiguy1 yeah, I'm sure the Africans are swamping the Chinese with African products and basically ripping them off blind... but the flip side is the Chinese appears to have more smarts than the Africans or is that they can decieve better?
