Hazarding accusations of being 'lowbrow' due to my response, but, Thank you for posting this. You sort of saved my ass for a college Art History project. Not to familiar with northern artists, so this will be interesting to sit through and watch. :3

Remarkable. I did not know Hitler had Vermeer's favorite painting at one time ... I wonder what the world would be like if Hitler had been accepted at the artists' school where he applied , if he had simply fulfilled his artistic yearning .... Also surprising that Vermeer had 11 children! I like his painting Girl with a Pearl Earring the best.
