With only one powder plant in the country by the new Kenya co-operative creameries, other processors have been challenged to tap into the opportunity. Local milk processor Brookside now intends to set up a powder plant to enable it take advantage of high milk production in the country. The company plans to invest over 3.2 billion shillings in the plant in hopes of tapping into the wider African market.
