Why would you want a reminder of the headaches of XP in Ubuntu?
-
To fool your grandma on which PC you are installing it.

I can imagine a conversation between coworkers:
"Hang on, I should probably boot into XP so you know what you're doing."
"Isn't that XP?"
"No."
"What?"
-
why on earth would you want to do that in the first place
-
now what we need is to make windows look like linux!
-
it works on 11.04
-
Amazing Job, I wouldn't use it, but that's just perfect dude, Congratulations. I'm sure, that will help people switch to LInux.. but now we need a W7 version.
By the way, I tried one out, I looked just like W7 :D
Google it..

Why would anybody do such a thing to Linux!!!!! :'(
-
Why would anyone make his Linux look like windows? Linux is already beautiful without any themes.
-
@phrankdachicken and some time ago, ewen 11.04 relased with the new unity interface
so we cant do it anymore
-
@secretagentsith yes Google Macbuntu But you have to use Ubuntu 10.04 not 9.10.
-
@northrivergeek What?? so you don't think they wouldn't notice that their machine doesn't crash any more or doesn't need to be restarted after installing stuff or doing updates.
Note: This screencast is from 9.04. Gnome has been updated in 9.10, and you won't be able to theme the login window - There just isn't an option to

The best and fastest transformation i 've ever seen
Can you do this with Win7 too?
Schiwi82 2 years ago
@Schiwi82
Prolly not - win7 is a bit more involved, and I made this long ago as a programming exercise
phrankdachicken 2 years ago
no sorry, i mean a win7 look for Ubuntu
i know, there are many transformation packs for this, but none is as good as this
Schiwi82 2 years ago
Yes, that is what I was talking about too - Sorry, a win7 theme is quite a bit more involved than a simple XP themeover
