This was the #1 highlight of my 4 years at USNA, in terms of emotion.

This was a great game. I was there working for CW Pack. I took the photo of Shank jumping up w/ the holder. It had to be -35 on the field. Film was breaking when we tried to load the cameras.
Did I mention how damn cold it was? It was colder than my ex-wife.

Notable fact: This game takes place in Giants stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets. It's sad that Giants stadium will be gone in 2010. That was a great game, GO NAVY!

Thanks for posting! Was a TAD coach on the sidelines for this game. It was colder than hell, but what a great victory! Coach Uzelac was fired the next day.

Uzelack never showed us much but that line "just give me a 7 iron and you and I are dancin and drinkin champagne tonight", one of the greatest of all time. love watchin this.
