About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

  • It takes a village, it takes a village to raise, it takes a village to raise a child. It takes a village, no one can do it alone, it takes a village to raise a child.

  • Listened to Raffi as a child, listen to Raffi now. This is a simple, brilliant message that we need to take to heart!

  • Raffi's words resonate with the fundamental values of humankind. Creating a culture of child honouring is within our grasp - today. All it needs is that first step - from each of us. Let's put a message to ourselves on the fridge - "Today I will honour children by . . . . " For me, today, I will speak to participants in our children's environmental health collaborative about how to bring Raffi's message alive in New Brunswick.

  • Raffi's words and music speak truth and touch both our hearts and minds. He inspires us to remember our collective responsibility to enable the wholeness and well being of the world's children and that this involves ensuring that the environments in which they live and grow are healthy on all levels. Child honouring has the potential to bring humanity together via a deep and universal ethic that supports and sustains all of life. Thank you Raffi, for this very significant contribution!

  • Thank you Raffi for this fantastic talk. It is great to hear someone speak so clearly about the world's greatest challenges, and to bring to light the most important part of any solution - the honouring of our children.

  • Great session at TEDx; inspirational and inspiring. Raffi has always been passionate and articulate about valuing and honouring children; with his Centre for Child Honouring, he's moving further ahead, leading the world in a direction it sorely needs to move. In a report of a recent college study, two groups of 100 were given creativity tests; one group scored very high, one very low. The difference? It was the SAME 100 people, at age 4, and at age 12. We need to nurture and honour children

  • Such a wonderful, inspiring video. Thank you TED talk! Thank you Raffi!

  • Thank you, Raffi, for articulating so clearly your unifying principles for societal change and transformation of our planet! I hear ...understand... internalize...and act from this compassionate revolution in values, with the child at the core : )

  • Wonderful talk and Village song.

Respect for Earth = Respect for Child. Thank you Raffi for caring for tomorrow's child and cultivating the best in humanity.

  • I love that this work of Raffi's brings us to thriving, not just surviving. Placing the infant's wellbeing as a priority is a very practical way to ensure we move to thriving. Thank you, Raffi, for this work. <3
