There are two grooves in this one. You'll notice the change in sticking pattern, this separates the two.

  • a question: why did you switch from powerstroke 3 to the clear emperor on bass drum?

i have an emperor clear on my bass drum (16x26), but i'm thinking about buying a powerstroke 3 or a controlled sound.

    suggestion?

    thank you

  • @mariorossipuzza

more high end attack on the emperor. An ambassador will have even more but the bottom end is reduced. Not a problem however as this size bass drum already has a lot of bottom anyways. You can try the PS3, loads of bottom but less high end, it's a matter of taste and your room. I prefer a coated Emperor and single ply for reso..

  • What would you say is the best bass drum head you've used from Remo so far?

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xXc

can't say there's a best, they all sound different and made for different purposes, I like the coated 2 ply (vintage emperor).

  • Man, you're a great drummer! Do you or have you played in any groups? Or done session work?

If not, being able to groove like that is it's own reward.

  • @YourSuggestionsSuck

Thanks a lot bro! Yes, been in many types of groups and went in the studio quite often. My fav band was a 10 piece latin band, lots of fun!
