  • @thanae It's always good to share things that you like!!I'm glad that I was useful. Now that you understand the lyrics,is this not a great pice of music or what??

  • @takisjnr Wow, I did not expect this so quickly. Thank you so very much. You made my day. Finally I can understand one of my favorite songs. =) YEAH!

  • @thanae Akri(gr:Άκρη)=1:edge 2:A village in Thessaly,Greece from which the notorious Greek pre war outlaw Thomas Gkantaras came from.

The song is about a true story about Athanasios Manthos,a photographer in Trikala that took a picture of Thomas Gkantaras a notorious outlaw in Midwar period.Thomas Gkantaras born in Akri was famous for his beauty, brutality and sense of justice and he enjoyed the sympathy of the poor people of Thessaly. He was killed at 5 Aug 1923.

  • @thanae For a thief not to come and he fell just as any other time

He didn't hear a dog nore the doorwing crackling

And he saw him sneaking in from the window of the roof

An angel from Akri* the knife on the teeth

An angel announcer came to us from far away

The narrator at the begging says:So,in 1923 the wanted Thomas Gkantaras, the robber decides to have a picture of himself.

  • @thanae

The photographer of the town of Trikala A.Manthos

made his way home at the night by the alleys

He must have been thinking the weddings but also the deaths

that he kept forever on expsensive paper

But he mostly remembered the night of August

when he closed the doors heavily(hermetically, tight)

    he unleashed the dogs

For a thief not to come and he fell for the sleep of the righteous(greek expression meaning big and heavy sleep)

  • Can please someone translate the lyrics??? I just love this song, although I don't understand a word. =(
