One of the first pieces of Honkyoku I ever heared; I was blown away hearing Riley Lee play it on a 1.6.
I tend to think my own rendition as 'goes something like this'. I'm playing on my Monty Levenson 2.8.

  • Beautiful rendition!

  • @NinjutsuLives Thank's for the comment Ninjutsu. I don't play the shack anything like as much as yourself; I just noodle on it occasionally.

  • Thank's for your comment. Glad you liked it. I'm no expert but I feel these honkyoku to be all about timbre, minute inflexions and concentration on a single breath.

  • Sounds really nice! I just bought a 2.6 shakuhachi a while back and I love playing on it!
