This is a useful one. I hear native Japanese say these words all the time but I am often confused as to the meaning. I will have to come back to this vid several times so I can practice. Thank you so much for this vid!

Yeah! I was annoyed that I didn't learn this until a few years after coming to Japan and studying. It is actually really common! The thing is that unless you KNOW it you may not NOTICE it. Know what I mean?

why do you sometimes use "wa" and sometimes "ga"
i'm still new to japanese.

Simple answer: ga is more like THE and wa is like A.
ga adds emphasis. Very useful when you have two nouns in a sentence.
