Sorry i haven't been on for some time. This is the 48" kit. Its 4 units and you do have to pay for the mounting kit if you want it. As a rule of of light i will do my best to say there is no perfect # to tank size. I can say that im extreemly happy with the 4 units for 48". If cost is a major concern you can start with less then norm and add more if needed.

how are your corals doing am planning to get some LED for my 65g but not sure which one to get am between the ones you have probably 3 of those or if not the ecoxotic panorama 36 for the canopy and probably 2 of those with 2 of the panorama modules
Hey i have a 48x36x16 shallow rimless tank and was thinking about led lights came across this and I was wondering if 4 modules would be able to cover it. My only concern is the width of my tank. So do you think 4 modules would work? Thanks

@falconzrock1 yes you should be fine - just make sure they are high enough for the coverage you want

I am looking at adding these lights to my tank. I have a canopy that sits 8.5 inches above the water line. Securing these to the canopy will leave about 6 inches AWL, think that will work out ok?

@kdneo I like about 9" off the water now - some go even higher
