Making Your Own Podcast, Episode 1: The Camera

Got an idea you want to share with the world? Great! So how do you record it so your message gets across? That's what we're talking about in this series - making your own podcast, and making it look like a million bucks.

Episode 1: The Camera looks at the video camera we picked for our podcasting work, and talks about why we picked it. We use the Canon HV20 camera -- two of them, in fact. Why? Big sensor, 24p recording, reasonable price and a great user community all played into the decision. Plus, it mows the lawn.

So what's next? Sound, tripods, Steadicams, editing, color correction, marketing, branding, motion graphics and more. I have time to do this because the camera mows my lawn for me. It also picks up if I'm messy.
